What we do

The San Antonio Women in Technology is a group of computing professionals(women and men) whose goal is to foster women of all ages from before they decide to choose a career in IT throughout their education, career, and beyond.

Why we do it

We exist to encourage young ladies to choose a great rewarding career in computers and technology, assist women as they pursue IT degrees, and provide networking opportunities for IT professionals

Our Goals

  • Educate members on opportunities, resources, tools, people, and diversity
  • Encourage our communities, our friends, our peers, our students, our mentors, and ourselves to stretch through outreach and awareness of the opportunities
  • Expose our communities to STEM, break barriers to heighten self-esteem and confidence (remove the impostor syndrome)
  • Address misconceptions including unconcious bias
  • Foster learning
  • Promote a network of support and of influence
